WE HAD AN EARLY MORNING 3-20-13

EASTER SHOPPING TODAY

We started our morning off at Ihop. My grandmother had an outing with her league there. So me and Mom ate breakfast quickly and then we went to Lowe's and Michael's.

We picked Gran up from Ihop and  then we went to Kmart.

We had to call my Brother to get my niece's size. She's growing--rocking a 4T and she's only 2 years old. She's a big girl for her age. Always has been. I found her a really cute pair of pj's. But I was getting tired, having been up since 7:30 and after walking around I needed to sit.

So we came home and ate a Digornio pizza.

I took a nap and then we watched some design shows.

So yeah no writing and no art. It's been so long! I need to get back to it.

CANCER CUTIE OUTFIT OF THE DAY 3-20-13

Today's outfit was dark jeans, a black tank top, a white button down, a bright blue t-shirt with a black hoodie over that. Then I added a black scarf with silver accents and my silver slipper shoes.

Today I wore the curly wig and a black beanie cap. My make-up was basic. Foundation, blush, defined my brows and put on a little eyeshadow. I also put on liner and mascara. No glasses today so that you can actually see my face.

HOW I'M FEELING

I'm feeling great! You should be feeling great too! We choose how we feel so I suggest that we choose to feel good! It's not always an easy task, but it's one that we have to try to complete no matter what.

Choose your weather--is it a bright sunny day or are you going to let a rain cloud hover over your head?

I'M BACK! 3-19-13

TAKE IT EASY TUESDAY

So I felt much better today.
I woke up and prayed and meditated.
Had breakfast and it stayed down! Yeah!
I got dressed and felt fine.
Gran came home from her volunteer work.
Then I took a ride with Mom to Fairmont to pay some bills.
Came back and had lunch.
Watched Days of our Lives and took a little nod on the couch.
Then I made a salad to eat with my spaghetti.
Laughed at Betty White's Off their Rocker with Mom and Gran and started the blog.

CANCER CUTIE OUTFIT OF THE DAY 3-19-13

Representing WVU today. I had on dark jeans, a yellow fitted hoodie and then a long sleeved navy blue Mountaineer t-shirt over that. Then I wore a navy blue sweater hoodie with that.

I wore a yellow baseball cap to accent the yellow in the outfit and then one of my long wigs. I skipped the makeup and opted for moisturizer and chap stick.

HOW I'M FEELING...

I feel pretty good. I woke up feeling much better than yesterday. I listened to some Joyce Meyers in Mom's truck today and she was discussing grace and how we try so hard to do things, instead of just accepting the grace we've received! We don't have to do anything to receive Grace or God's favor. We just have to accept Him and let Him run the show. If you take a look at the things in your life that aren't working and you're sitting thinking I'm trying to make this work, then that's where you've gone wrong. What you needed to do was turn it over to God and let his Grace lead you. Let yourself be in His favor and the issue will take care of itself. You can do anything through Christ because he's everything and without him you couldn't achieve all of this. He gives us life. I think we have to trust that he's taking care of everything. Faith, Trust, Believe.

MIA Yesterday 3-18-13

 WHERE'S TINA?

My day didn't start off so great yesterday. I was nauseous and threw up. So I spend the rest of the day on the couch under blankets watching TV and dozing off. I drank some gingerale and waited for my stomach to settle before eating little snacks. I haven't tried to eat anything yet, but hopefully today will go much better.

But just wanted to give you the run down on why there was no blog yesterday!

I'm speaking good health into my life today. I'll be fine! You should speak something positive into your life today too!

HAPPY ST PATRICKS DAY

SUNDAY IS A DAY FOR RELAXING

I woke up around 9:30 today and had some breakfast.

Watched a little TV with Mom before I got dressed and then we went to go pick up Gran from church.

It was much colder out today than I was expecting. No snow thankfully!

Then I came back and cooked dinner. We had chicken tikka masala with rice and my makeshift naan bread, that I made from pita bread.

Then me and Gran started nodding off as we attempted to watch BAPS. Classic funny--I mean where else are you going to find Halle Berry with gold teeth!

I showed Mom the pages of the blog because although she's featured in it, she had never really looked at the finished product.

Now we're watching my girls--The Real Housewives of Atlanta.

CANCER CUTIE OUTFIT OF THE DAY 3-17-13

We had to find a way to work in some green! No make-up or wig today. Green hat and my glasses.

My outfit was dark skinny jeans, a white hoodie with a white tank underneath and a green scarf to accent the green hat and tie it together. I wasn't trying to get pinched today!

ST. PATRICK'S DAY CAME AND WENT

I wore my green. I didn't run into any rainbows and leprechauns with a pot of gold. No Irish kisses. No green beer. But I did have on my green and green is a healing color

Green contains the powerful energies of nature needed for change and transformation, and is essential for growth.
Green is linked with the Heart Chakra which concerns higher consciousness and love. Learn more about Chakras by clicking here.
In colour therapy and colour healing green is used to relieve tension, ease stress and aid rejuvenation.
Green relaxes mentally as well as physically and is used to treat a variety of ailments ranging from high blood pressure to sleep disorders. Green is also said to be an aphrodisiac and can aid sexual stamina.

HOW I'M FEELING

I'm great. Just ready for the Spring weather to get here! I'm a little discouraged by the cold air I'm constantly feeling, but that too shall pass. The seasons are necessary! I know I've mentioned this before, but it's true! We have to go through all the phases of life. There are ups and downs. Winter and spring. Just know that there is one constant in life--change! Stop being afraid of it because even if it's bad, it will pass! Nothing is forever--not even diamonds. So always know that change is coming and be okay with it because you can't stop it. Don't worry if it's not the change you were expecting, because it's going to change. Embrace change.

WHAT WAS SUPPOSED TO BE A WET WEEKEND...

I NEVER SAW ANY RAIN, BUT IT WAS GLOOMY OUT

You could tell that it had rained overnight and it threatened to rain all day. I never saw it.

Today was very chill.

To get in a little bit of exercise, I walked up to Mom's and ended up helping her organize some of her Christmas stuff she had stored in her extra bedroom. I have never seen so much Christmas stuff. I have two large plastic storage crates and I thought that was a lot. she has multiple containers, multiple trees. We filled a bookcase that almost reached the ceiling with boxes of ornaments. She's a serious decorator when it comes to Christmas. She changes out her themes and color schemes and she will do trees for other people. I keep telling her she needs to make it a seasonal business because she really is good at decorating. It looks like something you see in a department store. That's her creative side.

Then after lunch, I washed, conditioned, and styled Gran's hair. I straightened it with just a light curl under, but she likes her hair curly, so she rolled it.

Then we almost caught some deer that were hanging in the yard. I couldn't get a great picture, but I did capture a few shots. There were about 5 of them just hanging out, eating grass. I thought they were going to run off immediately, but they kept staring at us. Finally they ran off except for one and he disappeared before Mom came down a few minutes later.

After eating a salad with some chicken, I got comfy on the couch and stayed there until now. Now I'm in the bed writing this and watching House Hunters--They're in Atlanta!

CANCER CUTIE OUTFIT OF THE DAY 3-16-13

I wore dark jeans, a purple tank top and a light purple button down over top of that. Beige shoes and a navy blue sweater hoodie completed the look when I went outside.

I wore basic foundation, blush and I did a purple accented eyeshadow. I defined my brows and slapped on some chap stick. I wore a purple headwrap and some purple earrings to complete the outfit.

THE DEER ARE COMING...

They're pretty blurry, but you get the idea!

 HOW I'M FEELING

Life is good! I'm perfection,  healthy and strong.  That is what today's centering thought was in meditation. I am is the phrase. You have to speak things into existence. I am--make your list and repeat it daily. If you keep saying it everyday, then eventually it will because your truth.

Who are you?

It's Friday Night! 3-15-13

IT'S ST PATRICK'S DAY WEEKEND!

Everyone should be out drinking green beers! Woo Hoo! I'm sorry I won't be joining you. Instead I'm snuggled in bed with the tv and the laptop telling you about the "excitement" of my day.

I slept in again today. I'm going to start just sleeping until I feel fully rested. I say my prayers and repeat my healing verses each morning. Then I do the meditation from the challenge. So my mornings can be quite involved before I ever even get breakfast.

After getting dressed today, I took a walk with Mom and went to her house for a little bit.

Then we had lunch and I watched some TV with Gran. Then she wanted to take a walk, so I went on a little walk with her. I got in my 30 minutes of exercise!

I also washed and deep conditioned Mom's hair tonight as well. No special styling, just a regular wash and we fluffed out her afro.

So these are the "exciting" highlights of my day.

CANCER CUTIE OUTFIT OF THE DAY 3-15-13

Today I didn't do any makeup, but I did don the long wig and my teal beanie cap. I wore my glasses.

I wore my orange jeans and an orange tank top. Then I wore a white button down and a yellow v-neck sweater over top of that. The scarf pulled all the colors together.

MY NEW VEHICLES!

The Camaro and the big ol monster truck. I've decided to embrace being a true West Virginian! LoL! I will say though--you wouldn't have to worry about the snow in this big old truck. Now the Camaro may be the redneck corvette back in the day, but the new ones are some seriously sexy cars. I'd push the heck out of this one though too!

HOW I'M FEELING

I feel pretty darn good today. I did a whole lotta nothing today, but sometimes it just happens to be like that. You can't always go go go. I'm going to resume work on my story. I need to read some too so that I can get a feel for some other styles as well. I'm still excited about me focusing on writing. I wasn't into it today, but I will get back to it tomorrow. I did my meditation today and I trust the wisdom of my body. Your body will let you know what it needs. Only you know when you don't feel well and when you're body is trying to send you signals. You have to listen. You don't want to ignore things or make assumptions. You might end up like me and I'd hate to hear that. So if you're body's giving you some kinda funky signs about how it's feeling, then just listen to it and visit your doctor. Don't keep putting it off either. Seriously if you've had that nagging thing that's been bugging you, but it doesn't seem like a big deal and you keep putting it off--then stop waiting. This is your wake-up call!

It's all good! You're loved and healthy and life is full of great blessings!

PI DAY 3-14-13

COLD DAY OF WRITING

Today was cold again and my plans for the bone procedure fell through today because of some issues with the insurance. So we will reschedule that once things are all settled with that.

I spent the day pouring over a story I had started writing a couple of years ago. I took that nurse's words to heart yesterday. I started reworking some of the wording and getting it typed up--I like to write everything on paper. I write in cursive faster than I type. It's a love story--of course--sappy girl stuff.

Then I took a break and watched some TV with the family and here I am working on the blog.

Today is pi day: 3.14--I don't know that anyone cares but I've seen it everywhere today.
