WHERE HAS SHE BEEN?

I WAS ON HIATUS FROM THE BLOG!

I'm alive! I missed a couple of days of any real blogging. I wasn't feeling too good. Tired and cold with chills. I don't think I had a cold, but I was probably fighting off some weakness now that I am fully off my steroid medication. Plus they always say that I overdue it and that's what they said about me washing the car on Saturday. I did get outside on Sunday during the the nice weather. I actually sat in the sun for a while, but yesterday--I didn't leave the house. I stayed on the couch and I only ate one.

It's amazing the difference a day can make. I woke up feeling much better today. I slept in--all though my Mother was hear trying to cook me breakfast--I wasn't ready yet and I ended up making my own cereal and heating up a sausage biscuit from the day before. Then I got dressed--very chill because my only plans were to do laundry.

Sorted my laundry and got that all done.

We ran to Sav-A-Lot to pick up salad fixings and Texas Toast for the spaghetti and meatballs Gran was making for dinner. It was tasty!

Not  a whole lot going on today--I apparently had a doctor's appointment today, but nobody called to let me know about it. They didn't have anything scheduled when I checked out last week and said that they would contact me once they had it scheduled, but no I get a call today talking about I missed my appointment--so we rescheduled for tomorrow afternoon. That was kind of annoying because that isn't the first time they've made a mistake with my appointments.  But's it's okay as long as it get's done right?

Then I'm having my bone procedure this Thursday afternoon! I finally decided to move forward with it because I just constantly have this ache in my back with pain pills or without and if this is going to help me to eliminate that and to stop any additional fractures in my spine, then I need to get that.  So we will see if I end up back on hiatus after this procedure. LOL!

CANCER CUTIE OUTFIT OF THE DAY 3-12-13

Nothing really cute here! I just put on my red beanie and my glasses. No make-up. Moisturizer was the only thing on my face and then my go to chap stick! Gorgeous! LOL!

Today I wore light jeans, a long sleeve navy blue t-shirt and then I threw one of my red Obama t-shirts over that.

HOW I'M FEELING:

I'm feeling way better than I had in the past two days. I have at least stuck to the meditation challenge that started Monday. So far so good. Today focus was about the Nature of Perfect Health. So ultimately if we just return to our Creator and tap into his strength and power, then we can have perfect health. What is perfect health. To me it's waking up feeling energized and being able to do the things you want when you want to. Being able to push yourself to the next level. Eating well. Exercising regularly. Being in a positive mental state is key as well--that's where it all starts! A body that heals itself easily is also a key factor.

And you know how we do--always claim your blessing!
I'm healthy!

What are you going to claim?

WARMER WEATHER IS HERE! 3-9-13

WHAT A BEAUTIFUL DAY IN THE NEIGHBORHOOD...

Today was definitely a bright sunshiny day! Yeah--We made it into the upper 50's today and are expected to hit 60 tomorrow! Looking forward to that. I may actually even go to church tomorrow.

So I had planned for today to be the day to wash my car since we had this lovely weather and I don't know when the last time my car has been washed was! It was well before I came home at Christmas and I certainly haven't washed it since I've been here. So she was well over due for a good scrub down!

Before we went to the car wash, my Uncle Pearlie came out to visit and was actually buffing his car and making sure that his rims were shining.

After washing the car we had to make dinner and that was a task--because I think that we were all cooked out. I didn't have any ideas and Gran didn't have any ideas.  We finally decided on having baked chicken with stuffing and gravy and some cabbage.

I guess my scrubbing the car and wiping out the inside and cleaning that has really wiped me out, because all I wanna do is take a hot bath and go to sleep right about now.

AT THE CAR WASH- WORKING AT THE CAR WASH!

Oh yeah baby--time for a scrub down!

I was so busy scrubbing, that I hadn't noticed that my wig was riding up and looking kinda crazy under the cap.

So fresh and so clean clean!

I am such a hard worker! LoL!

Covered in Suds--which sucked because the water pressure on the sprayer thing was terrible and it took forever to get all that soap off!

CANCER CUTIE OUTFIT OF THE DAY 3-9-13

Makeup felt like more work than it was worth today, so I just defined my brows a little bit, put on some blush and smacked some chap stick across my lips. I wore the short wig with my dark brown beanie baseball cap.

Here's the full outfit, a pair of dark jeans with light patching along the front. I wore a blue t-shirt with a navy blue polo shirt over it and then an orange sweater vest over that. It was all short sleeved, so I threw on my navy blue sweater hoodie over that--it ain't spring yet!

HOW I'M FEELING:

I woke up feeling great today and I think it was just because I knew the weather was supposed to be nice
so I guess that got me in the right mood, plus I slept in a little later than usual so I was well rested! I also
had a great Book-spiration for today.

Success Begins in the Mind
From Joel Osteen Starting your Best life Now devotional

Oh boy this is what the Law of Attraction is all about--if people only paid attention then they would know that
the Secret wasn't really a secret at all--it's been in the Bible forever!

What you think about is like a magnet to draw things into you.

Think about good things, talk about good things, daydream about good things, meditate about good things, pray
for good things, just constantly immerse yourself in good things.

Whatever it is that you want in life--write it all down as if it were true. Like a story of who you are when you
have all the things you want! Read it out loud. Close your eyes and try to see yourself doing all the things
or having whatever. Don't forget to simply ask God for it and then be patient and of good faith. All the these
things you seek will come to pass if you just keep the faith!

Success begins in your Mind!
That's just such a great line! I love it and I hope it inspires you guys to take a moment to see just how well it
will work for you!

Fun day Friday--3-8-13

FRIDAY HAS BEEN ALL ABOUT CHILLIN

I slept in today--9:30!!! That's late for me to get up, but it was needed. I had been tired and needed to catch up from a few days before. Had breakfast and sat around for a little bit. Once I got dressed, my Grandmother was doing some cleaning and I mostly just watched, but I helped change a couple of light bulbs and brought her some cleaning products.

Then Mom said she was going to go gather some wood and I decided that a walk through the forest sounded like fun.

After that I grabbed some lunch and played on the computer for a minute.

I washed Mom's hair and put them into finger coils--forgot to take any pictures!

Then we watched another movie--Smokin Aces.

And now I working on the blog while I watch Date Night on tv.

I'm having a wild and crazy Friday night man! You're gonna have to keep me calm! LOL!

ON A NATURE WALK

CANCER CUTIE OUTFIT OF THE DAY 3-8-13

You are on my sunshine, my only sunshine--I decided yellow was the color for the day! Inject some sunshine into your life! So I wore a pair of light colored jeans, a yellow thermal top with a yellow and white striped t-shirt over top of it. Then I threw on a yellow cap to keep it all coordinated.

No make up day--long wig and a yellow hat!

ART TODAY?

Started drawing today, but I didn't get something finished enough to really share.

HOW AM I FEELING?

Great! I feel good. I mean I'm still experiencing some back pain, but I've decided to have the bone procedure in order to get some relief from that. We just need to get it scheduled sometime next week.
I'm feeling positive. I'm always looking for ways to keep myself entertained. I should be a little more diligent about the art work and building up my Etsy site. More is coming!

Book--spiration: To gaze at the bare winter trees

From Now is the Time

They look sad without their leaves but look beyond their bare branches
They signal natures comforting cycles and represent signs of regrowth
They will blossom and bear fruit

There is a cycle to life. There is a winter, a spring a summer and a fall. Life has to go through these phases. It happens every year. So we too have to accept the winter in our lives and see the beauty in it. It's a time for renewal. That's when everything gets to rest and prepare for spring.

Enjoy the bare trees

Out and About this Thursday--3-7-13

TO TOWN WE GO...

Today was pretty good! I woke up to birds chirping! So that's always a good sign that your day is off to a great start.

Good breakfast--Pancakes and Mexican eggs: I take liquid egg whites, add diced up turkey sausage, shredded sharp cheddar cheese and then some salsa and scramble it all up.

Then I got dressed and we got ready to leave to drop Gran off at her Thursday thing--she goes to Scott's Run Settlement House and I guess today they watched a movie about Jesus and Mary and a painting that Michelango did.

We dropped her off and went to drop off some paperwork I needed to turn in for my healthcare change.

Then we went to this place called Surplus City and browsed around. They are kinda like that Habitat for Humanity place but not for charity. They had a lot more selection though. We have found a deal on a dual flush toilet and some vinyl plank flooring, but we need to double check the quality of the original items we were going to get.

We picked up Gran and then dropped off some recyclables by WalMart. We of course had to go in Walmart, because every time we drive past some crazy magnetic pull seems to draw us in and I've decided that they need to set my cot up in the back so that it makes it easier for me to get there everyday--LOL!

Then we went right back out to return the movies to the Redbox.
Walked around the dollar tree and picked up a few things I needed.
Then I needed a mocha from McDonalds.
--Oh and I drove on this second outing! There and back!

Then of course dinner time and tv watching!

MOVIE REVIEWS:

ALEX CROSS:

Surprisingly good! We all were engaged. We laughed, we felt sad, we had the full range of emotions. It was an action flick and it had some gruesome moments, but nothing too over the top. I also think that Tyler Perry did a good job at not being Madea. Sometimes it's just difficult to separate him from that, but I think that he did a good job. Matthew Fox plays the creepy assassin guy and he goes full force with it. We got it from the RedBox, so it's definitely worth the money! Check it out. If we had 5 stars, then I'd give it 4!

LOOPER:

This was another action flick, but with a twist. This guy kills people from the future and he ends up facing his future self and all this chaos unravels because of it. It has a lot of layers that you don't necessarily expect from the beginning of the film. It was good, but I don't know that I liked the ending. I won't spoil it for you of course, but again if you're getting it out of the RedBox, then it's definitely worth checking out at least. If we had 5 stars, then I would give this one a 4 as well.

 THE WORDS:

Okay so this is a completely different kind of movie from the other two. It's about 3 authors and three love stories entwined into one, but it's up to you to decide what's fact and what's fiction. It of course moves at a much slower pace and spans several decades of time. I liked it but we caught my Grandma falling asleep several times and I don't think my Mom is into these kinda flicks because she was like they almost lost me a couple of times. So with these things in mind I'm gonna give it 3 out 5 stars.

CANCER CUTIE OUTFIT OF THE DAY 3-7-13

Today the make-up was gray tones with liner and mascara. I also threw on blush and chapstick. I put on the longer farah style wig today with the black beanie and my glasses.

I wore dark jeans a black tank with a black silky button down. I then threw a bright cobalt blue top over that. It was accented by the black scarf with silver accents in it.

ART JOURNALING?

I didn't do any traditional art journaling, but I have scribbled out a couple of ideas in my regular journal. I'm gonna compile them in the art journal eventually:

This was from today and we have two ideas represented--One about Jesus being on the main line and us praying and thinking that the lines are tied up, but we need to realize that we're always connected. He's in us and a part of us so we don't have to worry about the lines being too busy ever. He is always with us.  The other one is about the message of speaking blessings over others and just would people getting showered by blessing.

This is where it started and I did recreate that one.

This was really appropriate last week after my chemo session and it went with the book spiration that was to be Strong and Courageous. It discussed David and Goliath, so I thought having the armor on was appropriate because it looked a lot like a little soldier.

HOW I'M FEELING TODAY...

Today has been good to me and I can't complain. I have no complaints. I was out and about today. I felt pretty good physically. Mentally is what matters though. I felt positive. Today's prayers and my book-spiration had be feeling good at the start of the day.

The book-spiration: Realize that you are more than an organism in an enviroment.
From Wayne Dyer's Getting in the Gap

You are an envrionorganism. This principle establishes that there is no separation between you and anything outside in the material world.
This is a principle he included from his Manifest your Destiny book.

So basically you are already connected to everything you want. You are one with everything and if that's true, then you can bring it in to you and it should also affect how you treat everything as well. If you're connected to everything, the how can you not over it love and respect--it's a part of you!

Everything is just an extension of yourself

You're connected to God and that's why he already knows what you need and he always hears your prayer. There is no busy signal or tying up of the lines--you're always connected to Him. He is always available to you and just need to remember that and tap into that directly.

The meditation challenge starts next week.

PSALMS 55:22

Cast your burden on the Lord, and he will sustain you; he will never permit the righteous to be moved.

The Storm was a flop! 3-6-13

FOLLOW UP DOCTOR DAY

I woke up to trees and grass covered in snow this morning and by this evening there was just a smattering of  snow patches in the grass. The roads were clear, so we were able to make it to my doctor appointments with no problem. We were in there all day though just for a follow up and a couple of shots--my bone hardener and b-12. Whatever though.

We grabbed a few movies from the Redbox and are set up a spread of wings, nachos, hummus and veggies, deviled eggs and potato salad. Some left overs that we really just need to eat.

We picked up Alex Cross--so far so good!
The Words and Looper and the other two we grabbed.

This is what I woke up to! Snow covered trees and maybe 2 inches of snow.

CANCER CUTIE OUTFIT OF THE DAY 3-6-13

Check it out--there's just little patches of snow and everything has melted off the trees! This is at like 4 in the afternoon. Some snowstorm! It's going to hit the upper fifties this weekend! Anyways the outfit was dark skinny jeans with my tall black boots over them. Then I had on a long white button down with a hot pink sweater. Then I threw on my black trench and a black scarf.

An extreme closeup--I have on a light neutral shade, a hot pink in the crease and a white highlight under the brow for the eyeshadow. I wore foundation, but didn't set it with powder, since my skin has been peely and dry. I lined my eyes and added some mascara. I defined my brows. I also put on a little blush and of course used chap stick. No contacts today, but I wore my curly fro wig and my black beanie cap to top it off.

HOW I'M FEELING

I felt pretty good today! I woke up and made blueberry pancakes for Mom and Gran this morning. I did my prayers and my book-spiration today. I didn't do any art  but I did write in my journal. I have some ideas for things.

Today's book-spiration: The Power of Blessings

You should always speak words that encourage inspire and motivate.
You should speak blessings into the lives of everyone you encounter. Send out kind words and thoughts for each person you pass. A smile, a hello how are you?
But don't forget about the people close to you--pray for them!
Speak of how they live in God's Favor--talk about how good their health is, how abundant their finances are, how successful their relationships are, how happy they are, just whatever good thing you know they want or need!
I wanna send a blessing to every single person reading this blog!
Whatever your need at this moment in time, may you receive it! May you be living in God's favor and abundance. In Jesus name I pray! AMEN!

Something good is coming for you! Trust it= believe it= have faith in it!

THE STORM WATCH HAS BEGUN...

CHEMO FOG NO MORE!

I feel back to normal today! Thank God for the blessing! I had a great day today. Very productive!
Hearty breakfast that stayed down this morning.
Dressed and headed out to take care of some paperwork for my new healthcare.
Had to make an appointment for later in the day, so we went to Goodwill and browsed around.
Then we picked my Grandmother up from Christian Help--the place she volunteers at and went for lunch at Wendy's.
Then we went to the Habitat for Humanity Store, which is something I had never heard of before. They apparently sell stuff that's leftover from Habitat for Humanity projects and then they put that money back into the organization. So it's a really cool concept if you've never heard of it before. They had furniture, building supplies, tiles, lights, cabinets, toilets, I mean a little bit of everything!

Then we grabbed a few things from Aldi and headed over to make this appointment I had.

Quick appointment--just really dropping off some paperwork and then we headed home.

I've been checking email and looking up Easter Basket Ideas, when I realized that I should probably write the blog and go stuff my face with the bbq wings Gran just finished making!

CANCER CUTIE OUTFIT OF THE DAY 3-5-13

Today I wore purple, the color of royalty right? I had on dark jeans, a white 3/4 shirt with a purple tank over it. I wore a purple head wrap with no wig today. Then I had on my beige trench and beige flats to match. It was so nice out today!

I had to wear make-up today. My skin is doing some funky thing with darkening and peeling. Whatever! I kept the purple shadow light and just lined my lashes and added mascara since I was wearing my glasses. I added some blush and of course defined my brows. I just stuck to the usual chap stick.

GORGEOUS DAY OUT--IS THERE GONNA BE A BLIZZARD TOMORROW FOR REAL?

There's a storm headed this way and we're expected to get anywhere from 4-6 inches of snow tonight!
It was so nice out today--it's hard to believe that we could wake up to that much snow tomorrow.
Take a look:

I have my follow up appointments tomorrow afternoon, but I don't know if I'm going to make it or not. If we really get 4-6 inches, then I'm gonna have to reschedule. I ain't trying to be riding around in the snow if it's not necessary!

HOW I'M FEELING...

I'm feeling good. I'm feeling blessed and happy! I had a great day today and I can't complain. I feel much better now.   No throwing up, not as achy and plenty more energy. Yeah! God is Good!

My book-spiration for today:  Be strong and Courageous
from Joel Osteen

Don't focus on your weaknesses, but focus on your God.
Because really if God's for you--who can be against you. He's everything. He's everywhere and He's all powerful--so how can you not win!

So just remember that as you go through your day. He's with you and there's no reason for you not to be strong and courageous! Be bold and know that you have the most powerful force in the universe backing you up!
